2 weeks in germany seems to be exactly what we needed. I honestly think that the only way to get out of a funk, to get away from the only thing on your mind in a certain place, is to leave everything behind for a bit and go somewhere. Just get up and go. Thank the lord for vacations.
I’m in love with Germany. It’s beautiful, historic…the culture is amazing..i just love everything about it. I’ve been coming here since i was a newborn, and every time i come back just feels like i’m home again. It just makes me sad that i’m living in such a simplistic city at home, due to my dad’s job transfer, instead of South Africa or here. Can you imagine a giant castle in the middle of our city? Or a magnificent, beautifully created churchesque looking building for just the city hall? It amazes me. There is so much history here that the building’s are used for normal everyday uses…but you would never guess so from seeing them.
The people. They’re so different. Everyone, virtually everyone, has style. You do not find this in america unless you go to california i suppose. But it’s still not even close. Every. Single. Person. dresses nicely. Has themselves put together. You would not catch them dead wearing half of what the people wear where i am from. And this is not an insult in any way to the city where i live, i just wish it were different. Everyone is face paced, put together, living in this beautiful country. This confirms my knowing that i will not stay in Ohio. This is a temporary place for me to complete college & after school for a year..but after that, i am gone. Moving either out of the country for a little bit if possible, or just to another state. Yes, i love the freedom of america, the friendliness..but i just wonder if that’s worth staying there and missing out on living in amazing countries like this. Usually, i think not.
Who knows what the future brings? All i know is that Ohio is not for me. It’s up to time & choices to discover where that place is. We shall see :)
